STEM Education through Cultural Arts - Custom Programs

Dr. Maynard is a Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering (Carnegie Mellon), and an innovator (11 patents) with 20 years of experience in applied research in the high tech industry. She is a recognized leader in Puerto Rican cultural arts education (dance, music, community theatre) on the mainland US. Her unique interdisciplinary expertise is building custom educational programs that use cultural arts to spark creative process and understanding of engineering concepts in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math). Programs based on Dr. Maynard's ongoing applied research.

  • All Aboard STEAM Camp (STEM through Cultural Arts) - innovative camps use lively Puerto Rican traditional dance to spark creative process and bridge to electrical engineering concepts and creations in electronics and dance!

  • STEM Education through Cultural Arts - innovative hands-on, project-based kinesthetic learning, rich in engineering principles and lively Puerto Rican cultural arts. Custom programs for core electives and extracurricular programs target K-12/16 and adult learning, gifted students, homeschool education, second-language learners, females in engineering, and traditionally underserved.

    Custom program and workshop fees are based on requirements.
